Each bottle of African Gold Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a culmination of our philosophy to reflect South Africa’s diversity and uplift local farmers through showcasing their incredible extra virgin olive oil. Pressed with love, the olives we use in our beautiful blend of 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil are sourced solely from local farms across the Western Cape region, grown and harvested by local hands. As it says on the bottle, our oil is “Only locally made, ever!” 

So, naturally, we’re inspired by all things local – and that’s why we decided to create this cookbook, which celebrates South African flavours and produce. Within its pages you’ll find recipes for hearty breakfasts and tasty side dishes, flavourful pastas and warming potjies, as well as plenty of sweet treats. 

And of course, the perfect companion for all these meals is our delicious African Gold Extra Virgin Olvie Oil. It is perfectly balanced and medium to intense in flavour, with a fresh, green aromatic fruitiness, distinct pepperiness, and pleasantly bitter notes.
